We love Hot Rods! Always new beers for my husband and sons to try. I love their jalapeno margarita!New menu offers more for those who are not big into bbq, meat in general! Had a nice See ya Summer salad yesterday!

Cute little restaurant. The bacon beer mac & cheese is so good (if you like the gooey type of cheese). Service was good too.

We went on Father's Day and they had a special all you can eat menu. Food was very good. My wife and I enjoyed it very much. Brisket and ribs were delicious. Service was very friendly everyone went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Only issue we had was getting out bill a little mix up but it was resolved quick enough. It was an enjoyable experience.

We live locally so we go to Hot Rods every few months. The food there is sensational -- especially the Burnt Tips (see photo). So tasty! My 7-year-old son loves their kid's cheeseburger and the fact that he gets a toy car with the meal. I think their BBQ chicken is fabulous and love the corn bread. I never have room for dessert. Well worth going to.

Nice casual place to eat and have a drink. There was a very respectable amount of craft beers, Seltzer's, and mixed drinks. I had raspberry craft seltzer which was good. The prices for the drinks were typical of craft or specialty drinks. The service was a bit slow but we went at 4 pm and it seemed they were getting ready for the dinner crowd. We had the Texas dip and the Angus burger. Both items came with chips, literally potato chips which were delicious. The Texas dip was tender sliced beef with a spicy BBQ sauce and cheese. It was well balances and very tasty. The burger was very typical and good but not remarkable. We enjoyed the casual atmosphere and the food was good. We would go back again.

I appreciate medium-rare but raw burger is a bit over the top. Great location, great beer selection, other food was all well prepared quality stuff. We'll be back. Hopefully someone will figure out the grill. 👍

I had the BBQ ribs, which are made of pork. It was delicious. Easily came of the bone and straight into my mouth. It comes with cole slaw and I chose the string beans with melted cheese and garlic. Those string beans were awesome sides. You get unlimited refills on non-alcoholic drinks as well. Customer service was very good too. The establishment is just a few minutes off of the I-80, exit 34.

Fun place with great drinks and theme nights. The food is good, not the best bbq I ever had and a little more towards the expensive side but the rewards program makes it worth it. Free cornbread and either a free lunch or $10 credit

These folks are working hard to make a living and serve up some pretty tasty bbq meats. They are not cutting corners. Good beers on tap. Historic building is worth a look.

Great selection of craft on draft. Friendly service, Laid back atmosphere.

The bacon wrapped burnt ends are carnivore heaven!!The selection of craft brews was extensive and the waiter had a really good knowledge of them and was able to help recommend beer choices which we were both very happy with. (I actually bought a 6-pack of the one I had for this weekend)

The service was okay but the food was not great. I asked to sit somewhere else and they said that this section was the only one available. The food quality needs to get better in order for me to be a regular.

After the remodel, I love the decor and atmosphere. Employees are great, beer selection extensive. Only option for vegans is the beyond burger, which is amazing, but limiting

Been here on a few visits which provided good food and service. Will have to come back soon to really evaluate their BBQ as it compares with others in NJ.

Exploring our new area we randomly drove past Hot Rod's. Taking note of the location we made sure we returned, unfortunately for brunch the Sunday after they stopped serving brunch. We returned again and were not disappointed. The beer selection is excellent, the meat seasoning is on point. A lot of restaurants I have one or two favorites, here I keep trying more! They have a rewards program which we just started so we haven't seen any return yet.One suggestion for the owners...BBQ pulled chicken options.

food is always amazing, even for the one person in our party who is not a huge meat fan. we had a small issue with a steak that was cooked less than requested, but was quickly rectified. our server tonight was new but still provided excellent service. will definitely be back.

Love Hot Rods! Great atmosphere and good people. Servers are great as well as the bartenders. Lots of beer choices and yummy cocktails. Try the lavender blue (I think that’s the name) if you like lemon aid. It’s very good! Great French onion soup, burgers and cod tacos! Join their rewards program, you gets points which turns into gift certificates to buy more food with! It’s great!

This place is off the chain as far as BBQ goes in NJ. Try the bacon wrapped burnt ends. It would make any BBQ connoisseur happy. Their happy hour prices are rockin' which makes the whole place even better. Good BBQ, good beer and good prices. I definitely recommend Hot Rods in Wharton!

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They also serve alcohol so the drinks are great! I had the wings and brisket which were delicious... Smoked flavor all the way through also try the MAPLE BOURBON style it's even better! There's not much variety of sides in my opinion. Having good bbq requires awesome sides!! Overall it's worth a visit. U may have to add a little this or that to get seasoned but give it a try. Also maybe a little pricey and quantity not really the value of your buck here.

This place is awesome for lunch and on the weekends. Cool looking dinning room too. The burgers are killer and the ribs and wings too. Service is quick unless they are slammed. The dessert was good too.

Although I've been here many times for dinner and/or Happy Hour, this was my first LUNCH experience. we were two people, sat at the bar and were extremely pleased. We both had the Pulled Pork Sandwich. The speed of service was amazing. For all those with a short lunch hour, this is ideal! Thank you!

My favorite place for BBQ.

I attended Hot Rod’s BBQ cooking class and Anthony and the boys from his competition cooking team are, quite simply, AWESOME! The wealth of knowledge, experience and expertise they shared was priceless. Anthony was a very gracious host....very patient with us students, thoroughly explaining what he was teaching, answering every question clearly. I left there very excited (even 3 days later!) to try out the techniques I learned, and will surely share my results with Anthony, just as he asked us to.Thank you Anthony and the team and best of luck to you guys in future comps!

I've been here several times and every time I am happy with what I order from the menu. The prices are reasonable and the bbq sauce is out of this world. The wait staff are always attentive and pleasant. The size of your party doesn't seem to be an issue either they are ready for whatever you may bring. The only downside is that the parking lot will fill up on the weekend and you must park across the street.

Food was great, but service was not. I arrived about a half hour after my group of friends, who had ordered. When I sat down with them, all but one had gotten their food. We waited about 20 minutes. Our waitress never came over to take my order or deliver my friends food; we had to seek out the host. His friend was brought out while I ate my SIL's unfinished meal (the portions were large, and the mac and cheese was very tasty). Wish I could have actually ordered and tried something since everyone seemed to enjoy their food. Bartenders made some great drinks as well.

Cool place! Food was good. It's in an old silk mill. All the brick is still visible. They have a lot of beers on tap. There's a small outdoor area.

Awesome barbecue and hang out spot. I enjoy the wide range of beers, mixed drinks, and cocktails from the bar. The food is consistently good, double check the brisket though. We brought my brother in law here for his bachelor party and they were great with our large party. We ate the large meat platter and shared it with the entire group. It fed eight! Good food, better prices.

My daughter and I love the food at HOT RODS. We walked in and right to a table. The waitress was very nice, engaged us in conversation as she took our order. We had French onion soup and 12 Wings. EXCELLENT!

The food is consistently fresh and flavorful, employees gives awesome service. I liked the cleanliness and atmosphere. Keep up the good work.

Good service and friendly staff... only 4 stars because the food is kind of pricey... nothing wrong with the food, just expected a little better and a little more for the price.

The food was prepared to our liking and was served in a timely fashion. Each course was not rushed. The waiter was on top of everything. The only downside to the meal was the Flank Steak was very small for the price we paid. Would not recommend.

This place was delicious. We were greeted at the door and taken to our seats. The greeter asked if we had been there before and we told her know which was communicated to our server (Erica I think? She was awesome). We put in our order (this was around 9 PM and kinda empty) and recieved it in under 10 minutes. Probably not the norm when it's busy but still impressive. One of the cooks came out and talked to us (Nate I think?) and just like everyone else, asked how everything was and engaged in great conversation. This gave it that personal old style feel that I didn't really notice was rare anymore until this encounter. Pulled pork sandwich was great. The brisket was awesome but would not recommend eating in a sandwich. They also had a great Neshaminy Creek Oktoberfest beer which is seasonal but I'd highly recommend. Death By Coconut was also pretty good if you like strong porters. I will definitely drop in after my future Water Gap travels. Great find, great food, and great people!

Best BBQ place in the area. The chicken, pulled pork, and fries were amazing. Brisket, beans, and corn bread were pretty good. Overall not disappointed but not the greatest ever. Would recommend.

Second time here and we will be back! Great service, good food! This time I had the Greek salad with grilled chicken. It was very good! Just the right amount of dressing and I ate the whole thing!

Was very pleasantly surprised as we kind of thought this place was going to be more of a pub grub kinda place. Food was great, they know what they are doing with their BBQ. Smoked wings were delicious and even my blue cheese side salad was incredible. Seriously great tap list with over 20 taps. Seriously, come here, don't hesitate for a minute!

We recently worked with Anthony and the staff at Hot Rods to cater a Couple's Wedding Shower at our home. Since the event was scheduled very quickly, we were a little nervous about putting it together. From the first contact with Anthony, our stress level was reduced. We visited Hot Rods for dinner and a sampling with Chris, the manager. Both Chris and our servers could not have been more helpful! Stress level down even more. On the day of the shower, Anthony arrived, set up and served a delicious barbecue for our guests, handling everything. Stress free and relaxing for us! It was wonderful from start to finish! Everyone had a wonderful time and raved about the food! Thank you, Anthony, for all of your help, for putting us at ease and for the great menu! We would highly recommend Anthony and Hot Rods both for dinner and catering!

Prices are a bit to high. But the food and service are great. The menu can use more choices

I think they're one of the best wings places around, great beer selection, good place to watch the game and nice to see the locals filling up the place. You know it's good because you can never get a parking spot when you go.

Great service bartender made you feel at ease and describes everything to perfection, beer selection pleases taste of all and food was the best BBQ you can get around, recommend the BBQ ribs and smoked chicken light.

Just what the doctor ( literally) ordered, stress free enjoyment. Delicious from the food to the service. Hope to take other loved ones here.

Delicious BBQ smokey goodness. Tried the ribs, brisket, wings, and bacon wrapped burnt ends which were heavenly. I was also surprised to see Rekorderlig on the menu which is my favorite cider. Will be back soon!Only thing missing is traditional stack of white bread, mac n cheese, and collard greens side options.

It's my favorite BBQ restaurant and I've been enjoying the food for the past 6 years. The drive for me is over an hour to get there and it's well worth it. The Maple Bourbon BBQ Sauce is the best BBQ sauce ever created and I have always loved their craft beer selections.

the food is good. Wings aren't breaded which I like (but they are smoked), ribs are good, burger may be the best item on the menu though. It is however very difficult getting a drink...and I'm talking about when you are SEATED at the bar, I'll go for dinner, and I'll get 1 drink...not because I want to, but because they simply ignore you.

Food was delicious. Was it the best ribs I’ve ever had? No—but they were still phenomenal. The tacos are not to be slept on either. Even the beans were on point. It is a little pricey when authentic TX bbqs are typically way cheaper, but not outrageous. Couldn’t give it 5 stars because it took 20 minutes from when we were seated just to get our drinks. Should have been smart enough to have an order ready but of course we were indecisive so it was a while longer until we actually ate. Important to note it was not at all busy either. I would be willing to chalk this up as having nothing to do with the establishment itself and I will definitely be coming back.
